Welcome to Fair Dinkum Internet Marketing,
My name is David D
riscoll and I’m an Exercise Physiologist and Dietitian by training (and no, I never worked for NASA, it was just me being an idiot on holidays a few years ago!).
I first got into internet marketing to in order try and promote a few hobby sites as well as my own practise. I spent the down time from seeing clients, attempting to master online and offline marketing (and most importantly trying to save a few bucks by doing it myself). As I got better at it, I had a few friends ask me to help them with their own ‘web presence’.
From there, after a few false starts, Fair Dinkum Internet Marketing was ‘officially’ born in 2011 and now both employs and consults experts from all over the world! (I ‘borrow’ a lot of ideas from the US where competition is much, much more cut-throat than here in Australia).
Fair Dinkum Internet Marketing can help you with all aspects of your internet marketing – from setting up mobile websites and Facebook, right through to video + SMS marketing as well as reputation management and everything in-between. Most importantly we endeavour to do this in a co-ordinated and focused manner in order to get you, the small business owner, the most bang for your buck.
As our name suggesting, we take the BS out of internet marketing, cutting things back to bare bones, removing the fluff (and man is there some fluff and BS in this business) in order to give you efficient and thus cost-effective service. Being a small business owner since before I started University, I understand that ever dollar matters and marketing budgets are often minimal.
We understand that most small business don’t have thousands of dollars for flashy, high-tech websites (nor do they need them), not to mention hundreds more to embrace every new internet trend. Unless you primarily conduct your business online, your ‘web presence’ is just like a business card or advertising, it shouldn’t be sucking major dollars from your bottom line and any dollars it is pulling, should be returning multiples of it!
In short, Fair Dinkum Internet Marketing aims to give the small business owner a big business internet presence through co-ordinated and targetted effort – at a small business price!
We’re not trying to help our clients take over the world, just their small portion of it!

DON’T do what I did.
I’ve literally spent thousands of hours over the past five or so years trying to hit the constantly moving target that is ‘internet marketing’. In retrospect, I should have stuck to what I’m good at (and spent six-years at University full-time learning) and outsourced all of the internet and marketing stuff.
I thought I was saving money by ‘going solo’ but I probably should have been giving away free initial consultations, instead of trying to learn all of this myself, it probably would have been more fruitful. (Although I wouldn’t be here now, so it wasn’t all bad!)
